I took this photo (a portion of a massive beehive - adjacent to our front yard) a few years ago when honey bees were still in abundance. We often are afraid when a bee, let alone an entire hive of bees, is in our midst. But bees are harmless if we don't threaten them. Just look at their beauty, and think of the wonderful honey they provide us. If we don't protect them, however, that beauty and honey will soon be no more. At this point, overall bee populations are down from where they should be.
When there is a bee in the house, we always take it back outside. I think bees are swell! Great picture!
ReplyDeleteWe try to take bees outside, too. Other bugs and spiders go to the chickens, but not bees. Cool picture!
